When you add a friend, you just enter a name and press save. If you want to change the name of the friend in a later stage just press the detail sign (>) in the Friends List screen, change the name and press save. That’s all.
After you have been adding bills, this info will also show up in the Friend Detail screen. Below the friend’s name is a table which is divided into two sections:
- Paid: lists the bills which have been paid by this friend
- Used: lists the bills for which this friend has been a consumer
You’ll see that most of the time a bill that is displayed in the Paid section will also show up in the Used section. This is only natural since you are usually involved in consuming the things you have been paying for (although there are exceptions of course).

Each line in the section represents a bill and shows some information about this bill. This info is the same in the Paid and Used section, except for the amount. In the Paid section it is the full amount of the bill, in the Used section the amount is only the share of the friend who participated in consuming.
HereĀ is a list of the stuff that is displayed for each bill:
- main line
- name of the Bill
- date of the Bill
- amount of the Bill (in Paid section this is the entire amount, in Used section it is only the share)
- sub line
- the list of friends who participated in consuming. the Friend with the asterisk (*) is the one who paid the bill.
If the friend who paid did not participate in consuming (which is rare), the name of this friend will appear last between parentheses.
- the list of friends who participated in consuming. the Friend with the asterisk (*) is the one who paid the bill.
From the screenshot above we might conclude that Arizona, Cheyenne, John and Ulker traveled together by car. During the trip they had to stop for gas. So much for speculation… What we do know is that Cheyenne paid the 54.20 and she also shares in splitting this Bill. Therefore the same Bill is listed in the Used section, but this time the amount is 13.55 (which is 54.20 split four ways).
